The Human Capital Risk No One Quantifies

What is Human Capital After All?

Every company has two or three people it cannot afford to lose. You already know their names. So does your leadership team. In fact, you could probably write the list in under a minute. That is not the problem. The problem is that the list lives in your head. Nobody has written it down, tested […]

An AI-Native Organization is Flatter-And More Human…

AI Native Organizations

Start with the question most leaders get backwards. What is middle management actually for? For decades, the answer was information. Managers relayed it up, pushed it down, and coordinated across. That was the job. AI now does much of that relay work. So the layers built to move information have less to move. This is […]

What the Market Reveals About Transformation Readiness in Your Business

Architecting The Future of Technology

Most leaders I talk to hold two things at once. A real, long-term conviction that AI will reshape how their business works — and a board, this quarter, asking what the return on it has been. Those two timelines are at war. The gap between them is where most AI strategy quietly goes wrong, and […]

Transformation Intelligence: The Skill Most Leaders are Missing for AI Success

Transformation Intelligence is the New hard Skill

Most of the leadership conversation right now is about AI tools, AI strategy, and AI return on investment. Very little of it is about transformation intelligence — the organizational capability that determines whether any of those investments actually produce a return. That gap is where most AI transformations are failing. Leadership capability has never been […]

Why Decision Makers Should Be Paying More Attention to Strategic Upskilling

Why you need strategic upskilling

The average US company spent $874 per employee on training in 2025, distributed across roughly 40 hours of formal learning per year. That is a $102.8 billion line item across the US economy — and the largest single slice of it, 13 percent, went to mandatory compliance training. Harassment modules. Ethics refreshers. Cybersecurity awareness. Required […]

You’re Investing In Your Leaders-And They Don’t Know It…

Investing in people and ideas

Gallup just released its 2026 State of the Global Workplace report — and the timing couldn’t be more relevant to section 132 leadership development. Global employee engagement fell to 20% in 2025. That’s the lowest level since 2020, the first time Gallup recorded two consecutive years of decline, and a figure representing an estimated $10 […]

The Price Just Went Up on Humanity

The Price Just Went Up on Humanity
AI didn’t devalue human contribution. It repriced it.
In February, markets repriced Intuit, Thomson Reuters, Raymond James, and CBRE — not on bad earnings, but on a harder question: is the informational layer still a defensible moat? The answer, increasingly, is no.
But here’s what the panic sellers missed. When the commodity layer collapses — the research, the modeling, the deliverables — the layer above it becomes more valuable. Not less.
McKinsey now runs 25,000 AI agents alongside 40,000 human employees. Their CEO calls it “moving up the stack.” Client-facing roles up 25%. Non-client-facing roles down 25%. They’re not replacing judgment. They’re freeing it.
This is the capstone of a month-long argument. The conclusion is simpler than I expected — and more urgent than most firms are treating it.
